I photographed quite a number of Gentoo Penguins (Pygoscelis papua) during my trip to Antarctica. Also at Port Lockroy, a British research station, they fulfill the pigeon niche, and as such, the Port Lockroy buildings have been painted to match the Gentoo Penguin coloring.
