Antarctic Shag

Posted on by

I photographed several Antarctic Shags (Phalacrocorax bransfieldensis) in Antarctica. They used to be known as Blue-eyed Shags, but that name is no longer formally used, as the birds called that have been delimited into various species. I also have one photo of a juvenile, identified by its brown feathers.
